Watched this video. Did the .ini updates. No problem. Every time I load a game it overwrites the .ini file and goes back to the default ini. Any ideas?

The title says it all.
I change the .ini file to support my xbox controller and the emulator sticks with the default settings (forward for acceleration).
The file is updated for sure, but makes no difference.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
